New Jersey Governor Chis Christie was back in Newark again. This time to announce the state hoped to have a new school superintendent, for the Newark school district, in place by May. Chris Christie and Newark Mayor Cory Booker seem to have become very tight over the past year, making one wonder are bigger things in the works?
Chris Christie is already the darling of the Republican party. His tough stance on education, taxes, and pension and healthcare reform are being echoed by many in the party as the only way to fix the problems facing most towns in America.
Cory Booker is an intelligent, well-spoken minority who many feel has a bright political future. If he can make significant improvements to Newark, his stay there may not be long.
One has to wonder if the plan has already been put into place for Chris Christie and Cory Booker to be running mates in if not the next presidential election, but then the following. Would the Republican party endorse a ticket where both candidates were from New Jersey? Maybe if the candidates were as strong as these two could potentially be.
I guess only the future knows, and maybe Christie and Booker.
