New Jersey native and Jersey Shore legend, Bruce Springsteen, has been spotted out and about in Asbury Park this past week. He was first reported to have visited the Upstage, a venue he last appeared at 40 years ago. The three floor club/restaurant is currently being restored by new owners. Springsteen toured the building talking about the many memories he had of the place.
He was next spotted checking out one of the most popular places to see live music in Asbury Park on Friday night. The Asbury Lanes, which is a bowling alley and club all rolled into one, presented the band Bad Karma, a New Brunswick, NJ favorite. A show I told you about here on Jerzeebaby.
While it is not unusual to hear of Springsteen sightings, especially down at the Jersey Shore, fans may hope it is something more. Could the Boss be looking for inspiration for some new music? Is he scouting places to play new music before he brings it to the rest of the world?
How cool would it be to see Bruce up on stage playing Thunderroad while you're trying to knock down some beers and some pins? Think it will never happen? As soon as you think that with Bruce, he'll prove you wrong.
