Rutgers Shocks The College Basketball World

Rutgers, the state university of New Jersey, pulled off a shocking upset last night in college basketball. The Scarlet Knights defeated 10th ranked Villanova by one point on of all things a four point play. Jonathan Mitchelll was fouled as he converted a three point basket and then hit the free throw to put his team up by one. With only 0.08 left on the clock Villanova was unable to get off a shot, and the court was rushed by Ritgers fans.
While the win last night may have been shocking, the play of Rutgers was not. New coach Mike Rice not only has this team playing hard, but smart. This may not be the most talented team of Scarlet Knights, but it is definitely the best coached in recent memory. With a highly regarding recruiting class coming in next year, the program finally seems to be headed in the right direction.
