Moon rocks from the Apollo 17 mission that were delivered to the Governor's office in 1976 have gone missing. The rocks worth $5 million were on loan to be displayed, however, no one seems to know their whereabouts. They may have been used in displays that were never returned or just simply misplaced. The NJ State Police are looking into the matter.
Moon rocks on loan to other states have also been misplaced and then found in garages or up for auction. So check your garage, your attic, and maybe your yard, and if you find them please contact Nasa. We wouldn't want to give them back to the Governor's office, Christie would probably just sell them.
